Faith Presbyterian Church in Raytown, Missouri on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.

Harry Eugene Wessley, formerly of Raytown, Missouri, passed away on August 11, 2010 after a long illness in the Appleton City area. Born on November 27, 1931, Harry was the son of Harry and Louise Wessley.
He was a graduate of East High School in Kansas City, Missouri, and the University of Missouri in Columbia. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Harry was a claims adjuster for Allstate Insurance in Kansas City until his retirement, when he relocated to Osceola and then to Appleton City. He served several terms as alderman for the city of Raytown and was a former member of Faith Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder. He was active in the Raytown Democratic Association and in the St. Clair County Democratic Committee. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Appleton City, served on the Board of the Ellett Memorial Hospital and was a charter Board Member for the Golden Apples Senior Club. He was a Life Member in the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #11242, where he also served in various positions including Commander.
Harry is survived by his wife, Delores, of the home; two sons and their wives, Scott and Cindy Wessley and Tim and Tina Wessley, all of Raytown; a son-in-law, Rick Crawford, of New Bloomfield; a stepson and his wife, James and Ruth Ann Perrin; fifteen grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, MaryLou Rannabarger; and his daughter, Sheryl Crawford
