Harold Lee Hendrickson, 83, son of John and Ruby (Camp) Hendrickson passed away Monday, June 13, 2011 in Kansas City, Missouri.
Harold was born in Garnett, Kansas and later moved to Appleton City, Missouri. In 1960 he moved to St. Joseph, Missouri and then back to Appleton City, Missouri in 1975. He lived in Appleton City until his death.
Harold was a member of the American Legion in Butler, Missouri. Harold was proud of the fact that he had served two tours of duty during the Korean War. After being discharged from the Army Harold worked as a factory worker. He retired in 1988.
On September 19, 1960 Harold married Marie Darnell in Rich Hill. Missouri. Harold was dedicated to his wife Marie until the day she died.
Harold enjoyed bowling and gardening in his spare time. He also loved to watch wrestling and could not live without his coffee. He looked forward each week to sitting down with his cup of coffee and reading the Appleton City Journal each week.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents, wife Marie and his sister Lucille Snethen. He is survived by his son Leroy Hendrickson and wife Kellie of Montrose, Missouri; one brother Donald Hendrickson and wife Mary of Kansas City, Missouri; three grandsons Andrew Bryant and wife Anni of Grandview, Missouri, Cory Hendrickson of Windsor, Missouri and Bryan Hendrickson of Montrose, Missouri; one great–granddaughter Kenzie Bryant of Grandview, Missouri.
