The FUNERAL SERVICE for Glenda will be held beginning at 11:00 a.m., Saturday June 20, 2020 at Hill & Son Funeral Home in Appleton City, Missouri.
VISITATION will precede the service between 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
OFFICIATING at the service will be Pastor David Hill.
INTERMENT will follow the service in Redburn Cemetery, Rover, Missouri (about 3:30 p.m.)
The family suggests any MEMORIAL donations be made to House of Hounds in (Butler, Missouri).
Glenda Lee Brewer, age 79, the daughter of Glenn Wood Brewer and Bertha G. (Nivens) Morris was born February 1, 1941 in Alton, Missouri. She passed away peacefully on June 17, 2020 at St. Joseph Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.
She grew up in the Montrose, Missouri area, and graduated from Montrose High School in 1959. She then attended Central Missouri State University, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in business education. Shortly after completing her education, she began a teaching career at Beaumont High School in inner city St. Louis, Missouri, where she taught for 30 years. During this time she also earned a Master's and Doctoral Degree in education.
Glenda was an avid sports fan, especially regarding the St. Louis Cardinals. She also loved reading, camping, and her many fur babies that she had throughout her life. She cherished spending time with her family, especially her brothers and son. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn Wood Brewer, and Russell and Bertha G. (Nivens) Morris; and four brothers: Conley and Willard Brewer and Eddie and Robert Morris; and one nephew, Conley Brewer, Jr.
Survivors include her son, Terry Brewer; one grandson, James Conley Brewer; three brothers: Lance (Marie) Morris, Ross (Carol) Morris, and Rex (Janice) Morris; along with many more extended family and dear friends.
