The FUNERAL SERVICE for Gary will be held at Hill and Son Funeral Home in Appleton City, Missouri on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 1:00 p.m.
The MINISTER will be Jerry Johannigmeier.
VISITATION will be at the funeral home preceding the service on Hill and Son Funeral Home Monday, January 14, 2019 between 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m.
INTERMENT will be in the Appleton City Cemetery, Appleton City, Missouri.

Gary Weldon Ruggles, born September 17, 1949 in Pittsburg, Kansas to Weldon Nesburt "Bud" Ruggles and Eunice Ellen (Thomas) Ruggles. He passed away peacefully at his daughter's home in Headland, AL on January 8, 2019.
In 1960 the family moved to Appleton City where Gary attended school graduating in 1967. In December of 1971 he received his bachelor's degree in business from Southwest Missouri State in Springfield, MO.
Gary mowed many yards around town as a boy and worked at Yoss Brothers Grocery learning to cut meat from Shorty and becoming close friends with Liz and Shorty Yoss. During college he worked summers at Peabody Coal Company Power Mine at Montrose.
In June 1971 he married Karen Pence. They had two children, Tracy Renea and three years later, Chad Daniel.
Gary spent the last 17 years with Carolyn Fischer, though his favorite blonde was always Maggie, his dog.
He made his career at S.S. Kresge stores, which later became K Mart, serving as manager at stores in the northern mid-west and later at the large K Mart Distribution Center in Lawrence, KS.
Gary enjoyed winged sprint car racing and always attended the Knoxville Sprint Car Nationals. He also enjoyed camping, boating playing shuffleboard and Texas Hold'em. Gary was very proud of his grandson Felix Bradshaw, together they shared love "6283 to infinity and beyond" and their enthusiasm of Nascar, but not the M&M guy! Banx, always the helper getting his cane and holding doors open for Grandpa Gary.
Gary is survived by his daughter, Tracy Ruggles and son Felix, Mike Weber, Michael and Katelyn of Dothan, AL. His son Chad Ruggles of Kansas City, MO; Carolyn Fischer of the home; Jenna Fischer and son Banx of Lake Ozark, MO; Jared Fischer (Kayla) of Springfield, MO; one older sister, Jo Gwin of Dothan, AL; Julie Page (Barry Higgins) and Amanda of Blue Springs, MO; Gary Schlie of Holt, MO; Dalton (Malloree) Schlie of San Diego, CA; one baby sister, Anita (Bill) Hough of Appleton City, MO; Shellie (Jonas) Unell, Oscar, Max and Sara of Appleton City; Ryan (Stephanie) Hough and Jane of Lee's Summit, MO; Ashley (Matt) Deel and William, Charlie and Ellen of Appleton City. Gary will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
