FUNERAL SERVICES for Mr. Schweer will be held at
Hill and Son Funeral Home in Appleton City, Missouri
on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.

The MINISTER will be Pastor David Herald.

The VISITATION will be preceding the funeral
between 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.

INTERMENT will be in Appleton City Cemetery
Appleton City, Missouri.

The family suggests MEMORIAL gifts be given to
Appleton City Manor, Heartland Hospice or
Trinity Lutheran Church.

Frederick R. Schweer, 78, son of Walter F. and Lillie M. (Johannigmeier) Schweer, was born December 29, 1935 on the family farm near Appleton City, Missouri. He departed this life August 1, 2014 at Appleton City Manor Nursing Home.
Fred attended elementary school graduating from Appleton City High School. Following graduation he was employed at several of the missile sites in St. Clair and Bates counties doing concrete work. In 1964 he became an assemblyman for General Motors, retiring in 1991. He later worked as a maintenance man for Price Chopper food stores in Paola for a few years, eventually retiring and moving back to Appleton City.
Fred was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Appleton City. He liked auctions and enjoyed acquiring antique furniture, glassware and several other types of collectibles.
Preceding Fred in death were his parents and his wife Patricia (Mead) Schweer. Survivors include his children: Donald (Teresa) Schweer, Ronald (Brenda) Schweer and Barbara (Paul) Behm; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister Freida (Eldo) Rapp; his second wife Darlene (Hearting) Schweer; numerous relatives and friends.
