Due to the new suggested CDC guidelines regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no public visitation or service.  A private family graveside service will be held.  Burial will be in Appleton City Cemetery.  We apologize for the inconvenience this causes the family and their many friends, but we also wish to protect everyon's health to the best of our ability in this difficult time.

INTERMENT will be in the Appleton City Cemetery, Appleton City, Missouri

The family suggests any MEMORIAL DONATIONS be made to Campus Crusade for Christ or The 700 Club.  Any memorials may be mailed/left at the funeral home.

Ford Ray Fredrickson, aged 77, was born November 23, 1942 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Thomas Fredrick and Mildred Joyce (Ferguson) Fredrickson.  He passed away peacefully on April 1, 2020 at St. Luke's Hospital in Lee's Summit, Missouri.

He spent his formative years in the Kansas City area, graduating from Westport High School in 1960.  He then attended Central Missouri State University, earning a B.S.Ed. in 1966.  During this time, he met and married Joyce Elaine Williams on 1964, his wife of 55 years. To this union three children were born: Gini, Cody, and DeDe.  After completing his education, he began a life-long calling in teaching, where he impacted the lives of many children in the classroom and on the football field.  Ford taught and coached in Appleton City, where he also had an insurance agency for 14 years.

Apart from his career, his family was the most important thing in his life.  He dearly loved spending time with his children and playing sports, especially football and baseball.  Ford was an avid sports fan, who spent many happy hours following the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals.  Additionally, some of his favorite activities were hunting, golfing, and traveling to Branson.  His faith was always at the center of his life, which he readily displayed at New Life Church in Oak Grove.  Ford will be deeply missed by his many family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Mildred Fredrickson;

Ford is survived by his wife, Joyce; his three children: Gini Pryor; Cody (Alisha) Fredrickson, DeDe (Derek) Collins; 9 grandchildren: Hayden, Bailey, Hadley, Millie, Alexis, Walker, Hudson, Dakota, Cassidy; two brothers, Boyd (Sidona) and Wayde (Karen) Fredrickson; along with many more extended family and dear friends.
