Florence Ellen (Pryor) Jackson, 98, daughter of John William and Olga Alvina (Held) Pryor was born on December 19, 1920 in Versailles, Missouri.  She passed away peacefully on October 6, 2019 in Appleton City, Missouri at 98 years of age.

Florence attended school in a one room schoolhouse outside of Versailles, Missouri.  On September 2, 1944, Florence was united in marriage to Bruce Jackson.  To this union one son was born: Brad.

Along with being a homemaker, Florence and Bruce operated a dry cleaning business for two years in the basement of their home.  They later operated a laundromat and drycleaners for a number of years before opening Cloverleaf Manufacturing sewing factory in Appleton City, Missouri, where she worked for many years.  Apart from this, her family fondly remembers her excellent culinary skills, and she was especially famous for her fried chicken and chicken and noodles.  Florence was incredibly special, she was honest, and always told you the truth.  She also loved all animals.  One of her favorite activities was watching the birds outside her house.  Beyond her hobbies, Florence began a faith journey in her 80s, receiving baptism and joining the First Baptist Church in Appleton City, where she was an active member so long as she remained able. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents: John and Olga Pryor; and her husband, Bruce.

Florence is survived by her son, Brad and wife Caraleigh; four granddaughters: Brittanni (Ryan) Turner, Jordan (Jason) Kunkelman, Tabitha Jackson, and Piper Jackson; four great-grandchildren, Alexis and Kade Turner, Brecken Jackson and Landon Jackson-Steward; along with many family, friends, and two cats: Maddie and Bojangles.
