A MEMORIAL SERVICE for Evonne will be held at Hill and Son Funeral Home in Appleton City, Missouri on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.

OFFICIATING will be her son, Chris Jones .

VISITATION will be held between 1:00 and 2:00 p.m. preceding the service at the funeral home.

The family suggest MEMORIAL GIFTS be made to
Heartland Hospice or Appleton City Cemetery.

Evonne Lorraine Jones was born March 19 ^th , 1947 to Hugo and Marie Wafel Schweer. Evonne was baptized and confirmed in Trinity Lutheran Church where she is still a member.
She attended school at Appleton City and graduated in 1965. She then attended Blue Bonnet Beauty School in Springfield, Missouri in December 1965. She started work at Smiley Beauty Salon in Clinton, Missouri where she worked until 1971.
On June 1 ^st , 1968 she married her sweet heart, Bob Jones. To this union they were blessed with two sons, Christopher Robert and Travis Neal.
In July 1977, Bob and Evonne built their home in Appleton City on the family farm; their present home.
After the boys grew up, she started work at Appleton City Manor as a CNA, CMT, and medical records manager. She enjoyed her work, as she enjoyed helping people. Evonne retired from the rest home in 2010 and enjoyed spending time with her husband fishing, spending time with family, attending grandchildren activities, and gardening.
Evonne is survived by her husband, Bob Jones; her sons and their wives, Chris and Dee Dee of Olathe Kansas, and Travis and Lana of Harrisonville Missouri; grandchildren: Taylor, Cody, Tijen, and Autumn; her sister and her husband, Marilyn and Kent Hatcher of Joshua Texas; nieces, nephews, cousins, numerous friends, including her beloved friend Betty Michel.
