Everett Leroy Bauer, son of Joseph Gottlieb Bauer and Henrietta Susanna (Fischer) Bauer, was born on June 27, 1924 at the family farm of Rural Rockville. He passed away August 31, 2006 at his home at the age of 82 years.
Everett was baptized on August 31, 1924 and was confirmed on April 10, 1938 by Pastor George Jagels. He attended grade school at Fairmont and Zion Lutheran Schools. He attended high school at Rockville. Everett married Elda Louise Marquardt on August 5, 1945 and they recently celebrated their 61st anniversary. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Men's Club and held various offices in the church. Everett was a farmer and a conservation contractor for years. In recent years he managed the Rockhouse Bluff Farm. He also loved to raise and care for his Longhorn cattle. He enjoyed flying as a hobby, trout and bass fishing, hunting and going camping with his wife and brothers and sisters-in-law.
Everett was preceded in death by his parents, one infant son, one sister Josephine Marquardt, and two brothers-in-law, Adolph Marquardt and Norman Rapp. Everett is survived by his wife Elda, of the home; two sons and their wives, Gerald and Sally Bauer of Rockville, Missouri, Jim and Cheryl Bauer of Mt. Shasta, California; three daughters and their husbands, Sherry and Jim Shouse of Rockville, Missouri, Linda and Dale Lee of Moundville, Missouri and Rhonda and Pete Shouse of Rockville, Missouri; one brother–in-law Arnold Marquardt and two sisters-in-law Naomi Marquardt and Laura Rapp; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
