The SERVICE for Mrs. Hendricks will be held at Hill and Son Funeral Home in Appleton City, Missouri at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2015.

The MINISTERS conducting the service will be
Pastor Tony Reynolds and Jerry Johannigmeier.

VISITATION will be held an hour preceding the service
from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.

THE ORDER OF THE EASTERN STAR will have
their presentation by El Dorado Chapter.

INTERMENT will be immediately following the service in the El Dorado Springs Cemetery, El Dorado Springs, Missouri.

The family requests MEMORIAL gifts be given to the Order of the Eastern Star, El Dorado Springs Chapter or donations made to the family for a tree and bench to be placed at the park in her memory.

Evelyn Rebecca (Francis) Hendricks was born October 21, 1921 in Odell, Illinois to Frank and Stella Linda (Allen) Francis. Evelyn passed away peacefully at her home with her children February 20, 2015.

At the end of World War I and her father's discharge from overseas service, Evelyn, her younger brother, Frankie, and parents moved to Roseburg, Oregon.

Evelyn grew up in the west on a cattle ranch and loved to ride horses and help with ranching work. In Oregon she met and married C.A. Hendricks. Their marriage produced two daughters, Linda Audine born in Oregon and Phyllis Kay after the move to Missouri. They finally settled in El Dorado Springs, Missouri where they owned operated an insurance company for many years. Evelyn and C.A. had a blessed marriage for 56 years until his death. They enjoyed fishing, bowling, golf, bridge games, Eastern Star, Methodist Church and watching their grandchildren in their various activities. Evelyn especially loved time spent with her family and teaching her grandchildren to make homemade noodles, homemade blackberry jelly, how to fish, water ski and to sew.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, her younger brother, Frankie, and her husband C.A. Hendricks. She is survived by her two daughters, Linda and husband Dr. Ron Brown of Appleton City, Missouri and Phyllis Clevenger (Larry) of Blue Springs, Missouri; her six grandchildren: Andrea Hernandez (Rod) of Lawrence, Kansas, Todd Maxwell (Angie) of Weatherby Lake, Missouri, Becky McMurtry (Dan) of Columbia, Missouri, Beverly Hellwig (Jeremy) of Leawood, Kansas, Debbie Mesz (Rick) of Lee's Summit, Missouri and Deana Brown-Hood (Brad) of Columbia, Missouri; 17 great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Skeeter.

She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her loving spirit. She will be forever in our hearts.
