Missouri Honor Guard and the
Appleton City VFW Post 11242

Ernest C. "Joe" Johannigmeier, 85, son of William C. and Minnie Ida (Beckemeier) Johannigmeier, was born February 20, 1926 in Appleton City, Missouri.

Joe hauled rock for many years and also farmed. He was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Preceding Joe in death were his parents, three brothers, William "Wig" Johannigmeier, Ott Johannigmeier and Victor "Sam" Johannigmeier; and two sisters-in-law.

Joe is survived by his wife Lucile Johannigmeier of the home; their daughter Betty Jo and husband Jerry Fennewald of Rockville, Missouri; two grandsons, Jason Dale Fennewald and fiancée Roxanne of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Ronnie Wayne Fennewald of McAlister, Oklahoma; one sister-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
