FUNERAL SERVICES for Liz will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 12:00 Noon at Hill & Son Funeral Home, Appleton City, Mo.

VISITATION will precede the service 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 Noon.

OFFICIANTS for the service will be Pastor Charlie Hyton and Pastor Kevin Askew

BURIAL will be in Appleton City Cemetery.

Elizabeth Anne Stivers, daughter of Timothy Otis and Mary Ellen (Bryant) Stivers, was born in Kansas City, Missouri November 25, 1991.  She departed this life all too soon, on March 14, 2023 at the age of 31 years.

Liz graduated from Overland Christian Schools with the class of 2011.  She had worked tirelessly to rescue, care for and save many abandoned animals at the KC Paws Rescue Center.  She had a big heart and cared about all people she encountered.  She was a "people person" and never knew a stranger.  She was always there if you ever needed a friend; all you needed to do was call.  She gave great hugs, you could just feel her love through those hugs.  She had a heartfelt and infectious laugh that was one of a kind complete with snorts and all.  She would offer advice when asked.  She loved watching late night movies and making late night QT runs for snacks.  She couldn't resist cuddling all animals and just had a way of calming even terrified ones quickly.  She took friends dogs for walks during the day so they could have exercise and that extra bit of love while pet parents were at work.  She always made sure family and friends knew they were loved and appreciated.

Liz was preceded in death by her father Timothy Stivers, grandfather (Poppy) James V. Bryant, great-grandparents: Jack and Bertha Stivers and Ralph and Waneta Allis, and aunt Kathy Rice.  Survivors include her mother Mary Ellen (Bryant) Stivers, her brother Randell (Rebekah) Harris, aunt Verna (Dennis) Basham, uncle Jimmy Bryant, aunt Brenda Lawson, uncle Matthew (Angie) Stivers, grandmother Mary K. Bryant and grandparents Charles and Margaret Stivers.  She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
