11:00 a.m.
The MINISTER will be

VISITATION will be held in the Zion Lutheran School basement (church fellowship hall) on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 between
10:00 and 11:00 a.m.
INTERMENT will be in
Zion Lutheran Cemetery
Prairie City, Missouri.

Elda Louise (Marquardt) Bauer, daughter of John William and Emma Magdalena (Fischer) Marquardt was born Thursday, August 24, 1922 in Prairie City, Missouri. She passed away Friday, November 8, 2013 in Appleton City, Missouri at the age of 91.
Elda was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church in Prairie City, Missouri on September 17, 1922. Her sponsors were Emilie Bracher, Anna Marquardt and Joseph Fleischer. She was confirmed May 10, 1936 at Zion Lutheran Church by Pastor George Jagels.
Elda was united in marriage to Everett Bauer on August 5, 1945 at Zion Lutheran Church, Prairie City, Missouri.
Elda taught Sunday School for 25 years and was the oldest member of the Zion Lutheran Ladies Aid.
Elda spent her life as a homemaker, taking care of family, and caring for her flower garden. She also embroidered quilts and doilies. She never missed a birthday greeting to anyone dear to her. She enjoyed working with family history.
Elda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Everett; granddaughter, Kelly (Shouse) Pennington; great-grandchildren, Jeffery Pennington and Allyson Shouse; brother, Adolph Marquardt (Josephine); son-in-law, Jim Shouse; sister-in-law, Naomi Marquardt; and brother-in-law, Norman Rapp.
Survivors include her children: Gerald Bauer (Sally), Jimmie Bauer (Cheryl), Sherry Shouse, Linda Lee (Dale), and Rhonda Shouse (Pete); brother, Arnold Marquardt; sister, Laura Rapp; grandchildren: Stephanie, Heidi, Amy, Brandon, Matthew, Marissa, and Clayton; great-grandchildren: Trevor, Katelyn, Maggie, Tessa, Emily, Ethan, Eli, Aiden, Makayla, Austin, Justin, Madeline and Makahna.
Elda will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
