December 15, 2011 Edward Gustav Kreissler, 85, Joplin, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at the National Healthcare Center, Joplin. Edward G. Kreissler was born April 19, 1926 in Appleton City, MO, the son of Gustav Ludwig Kreissler and Dora (Eckhoff) Kreissler.

He attended school in the Appleton School District before entering the U.S. Air Force. He was a farmer and skilled carpenter for most of his life. He was a Lutheran by faith.

Survivors include four daughters; Wanda (Allen) Jones, Lockwood, MO, Paula Kreissler, Savannah, Georgia, Toni Kreissler, Golden City, MO and Jackie (Charles) Carrier, Lockwood, MO; three sons, Wayne (Dixie) Kreissler, Golden City, MO, Timothy (Lorraine) Kreissler, Germantown, New York and Jonathan (Patricia) Kreissler, Golden City, MO; three sisters, Iola Rapp, Appleton City, MO, Deloris Fuelling, Grandview, MO and Elsie Williams, Ogden, Utah; two brothers, Harold (Mary Ann) Kreissler, Appleton City, MO and John (Barbara) Kreissler, Girard, Kansas; eight grandchildren, Kimberly (Adam) Stueve, Perryville, MO, Bradley Jones, Helena, MO, Leslie (Ryan) Brunner, Souix Center, Iowa, Reuben (Rayna) Kreissler, Webb City, MO, Seth Kreissler, Lafayette, Indiana, William (Melanie) Carrier, Nevada, MO, Isaac Carrier, Lockwood, MO and Toni Marie Carrier, Lockwood, MO; seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Eldor Kreissler.
