Edra Julia Engeman, the daughter of William and Dora (Daldrup) Oswald, was born January 24, 1927 in Urich, Missouri. She passed away peacefully at Appleton City Manor on January 16, 2017. She attended a one-room schoolhouse during her early years. Early in life she married the love of her life Leo Frank Engeman, and to this union two children were born: Ivan and Duane.
Edra grew up around Piper, Missouri and later spent all of her adult life in the Appleton City area, where went into agriculture and she raised her children. Mrs. Engeman remained a lifelong and active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Montrose. Some of her most happy moments were spent on the family farm, raising chickens, selling eggs, and tending her flowers and garden. Edra had a tremendous work ethic, laboring on the farm long into her old age, until she became unable. Apart from this, she is fondly remembered for her exceptional cooking and baked goods, especially pies. Her family fondly remembers Edra's kind and loving presence. She will be deeply missed by all her friends and family.

Edra is survived by her Son, Ivan (Diana), daughter-in-law, Tami (Randy) Getz; grandchildren: Alisha (Cory) Mantonya, Derek (Victoria) Engeman, Steve and Lauren Engeman; five great-grandchildren, and many other family members and friends.
