Duane William Engeman, son of Leo Frank and Edra Julia (Oswald) Engeman, was born July 15, 1958 in Clinton, Missouri. He passed away at Ellett Memorial Hospital in Appleton City, Missouri November 23, 2007 at 49 years of age.
Duane spent all of his life in the Appleton City area, living most of that time in the same home. He enjoyed raising Angus cattle and row crop farming. He took great pride in his fine herd of cattle and enjoyed watching them graze. Duane liked animals and had two pets he was very fond of, his cat and his dog, Buddy.
Duane had an infectious smile and enjoyed sharing that with friends. He began most every morning by visiting with friends at the Dollar Store, Casey's, Sur-Gro and other places downtown in Appleton City. He was a very friendly man who enjoyed family and friends. Duane was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Montrose, Missouri.
Preceding Duane in death were his father and grandparents. Survivors include his mother, Edra Engeman of Appleton City, Missouri; his daughter Alisha and husband Cory Mantonya of Clinton, Missouri, and his son, Derek Engeman of Appleton City; his brother Ivan Engeman and wife Diana of Lee's Summit, Missouri; a grandson Jaden Engeman and granddaughter Megan Mantonya both of Clinton; a niece Lauren Engeman and a nephew Steve Engeman.
