Appleton City, Missouri on
Saturday, June 30, 2012 at
11:00 a.m.

VISITATION will be
at the funeral home immediately preceding the service on Saturday, June 30, 2012 between
10:00 - 11:00 a.m.

INTERMENT will be in the
Appleton City Cemetery,
Appleton City, Missouri

Zion Lutheran Church, Prairie City, Missouri

Donald Alton Conner, 76, of Appleton City, Missouri passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2012. Don was born December 26, 1935 to Patrick and Lota (Bright) Conner near Rich Hill, Missouri.

Don grew up in the Amoret and Monett, Missouri areas, graduating from Monett High School in 1953. He had also lived in Belton and Adrian, Missouri. Don has lived in Appleton City for the past 18 years. He worked at Bendix/Allied Signal/Honeywell for 39 years retiring in 1997. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Prairie City, Missouri.

Don was a good husband, father and grandfather. He was a kind and gentle man; he never had a bad word to say about anyone and was a friend to all. He loved football and would go to the local games as well as going to Columbia to see the MU Tigers play. His hobbies were: playing guitar, metal detecting, fishing, reading, playing on the computer, playing cards and being with his family and friends.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; a sister Mabel Conner; three brothers, Wesley Conner, Charles Conner and Everett Conner; his stepson Randy Setzer; and great-grandson Eli Fleischer.

Don leaves his wife of 18 years, Beulah Conner, of the home; his children Daphne Ham (Tae) of Buckner, Missouri, Dwayne Conner of Kansas City, Kansas, Tonya Overturf (Jeff) of Bella Vista, Arkansas; his stepchildren Robin Fleischer (Rick) of Butler, Missouri, Ronda (Dick) Stout of Rockville, Missouri; daughter-in-law Shari (Setzer) Hadley (Jim) of Bolivar, Missouri; 14 grandchildren, Christopher, Jaimie, Bobbi, Becky, Angela, Zach, Gabriel, Titus, Josh, Keith, Abby, Sarah, Baily and Oliver; eight great grandchildren, Kaylea, Lexi, Taylor, Aryzona, Presley, Riley, Taylor and Everlee; two sisters Agnes Surber of Butler, Missouri, and Pauline Smith (Art) of Florence, Colorado; brother Ira Conner of Rich Hill, Missouri; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
