Margaret Dianne Rhea, daughter of Galand Dee and Margaret Cecile (Broyles) McGinness, was born August 31, 1946 in Maryville, Missouri. She passed away May 8, 2009 at 62 years of age. She grew up in northern Missouri and southern Iowa. After high school, attended nursing school at St. Luke's and received her RN diploma. She worked as a Registered Nurse for 42 years, and always loved caring for her patients and their families.
Dianne was united in marriage to James C. Rhea on October 15, 1966 in Bethany Missouri, and to this union two children were born, Darren and Tera. Besides her love for nursing, she loved spending time with her family, singing and shopping. Her joy in life was to buy gifts for her ever-growing family, as well as her friends, and to make sure that everyone she loved felt special. She also loved going to church and urged her family to attend with her. Dianne was baptized and accepted Christ early in her life later rededicating herself at First Baptist Church during Reverend Jim Walker's pastorship. Her strong faith in the Lord sustained her throughout her life.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Margaret and Galand and a brother Jonathan Dee. Survivors include her husband, Jim, of 42 years, her children Darren Rhea and wife Shari of Cassville, Missouri; Tera Minks of Appleton City, Missouri; Jon McGinness and wife Becky of Kansas City, Missouri; Jason McGinness of Kansas City, Missouri; and Joe McGinness of Kansas City, Missouri; her grandchildren, Kyle and Kris Rhea; Brennan, Kayleigh and Conner Minks; Jayden and Landon McGinness; and Lacy McGinness; two brothers, Tom McGinness and wife Kristi of Leawood, Kansas and Dean McGinness and wife Joyce of Kansas City, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews.
