Delbert Howard Shy, age 86, of Liberty, Missouri passed away March 18, 2009 at Liberty Terrace Rehabilitation Center.
Delbert was born on January 27, 1923 in Ladue, Missouri to Warren and Grace Shy. Delbert served in the United States Air Force in World War II and upon returning home married his wife of 56 years, Mary Ann (Adams) Shy.
Delbert retired from Bendix Corporation as a Lt. of the Security Department. He was a very involved member of the Shiners' and Masonic Lodge.
Delbert loved traveling, RV camping, antique shopping and tinkering with small projects. He enjoyed being involved with his many friends from church and his camping club, along with spending time with his family.
Delbert was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann. Survivors include his sister Lucile Doing of Lebanon, Missouri, son Gregory Shy of Liberty, Missouri, grandson Robert Shy and wife Jennifer of Liberty, Missouri, and 4 great grandsons.
