Delano W. "Jack" Rapp, age 75 of Butler, Missouri, died Friday, December 5, 2008 at University of Kansas Medical Center. He was born September 22, 1933 in Prairie City, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents Carl Rapp and Paula Leimer-Rapp; a sister Lois Rapp two brothers, Norman Rapp and Victor Rapp; a niece and nephew, Priscilla and Terry Rapp. Jack is survived by his brothers, Dennis Rapp and Duwayne Rapp; three sisters, Bernice Mott, Ardyce Brecko and Marylyn Piepmeier; his daughter Jacque Hall and grandchildren, Brady and Ashley all of Carl Junction, Missouri; his son Jarrod Rapp, his wife Koreen and grandchildren, Korbin Gunnels, and Josi and Jayce Rapp all of Pollock, Missouri; and his son Jeffrey Rapp of Butler, Missouri.
Jack graduated in 1951 from Rockville High School and served in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1953. He logged in thousands of miles, over the years, driving for Heiman's, Ours Oil Company, Jerry Chitty, Jack Kenney, Ron Gilkey and Carl Hull, to name a few. He liked playing cards and fishing for crappie, catfish and bluegill. He enjoyed quail hunting and spent many hours training his dogs Trixie, Duke and Rocky.
