David "Darrel" Siegismund, of Rockville, Missouri, passed away peacefully August 17, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital in Lee's Summit, Missouri, at 57 years of age. Darrel was the first son of his parents, George Andrew and Margie Lou (Kern) Siegismund, born April 17, 1958 in Butler, Missouri.

Upon graduating from Appleton City High School in 1976, he married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Sandra Parks, and to this union three children were born: Anthony, April, and Andrew. For Darrel, times spent with his family were the most important part of his life.

Shortly after graduation he began a long and distinguished career in the electrical trade. Nearly self taught, he learned most of his craft from a home electronics course. With this knowledge Darrel took a position at LeNeve's TV and Appliance, working for Don and JoAnn LeNeve, where he dutifully served the public for more than thirty years. This job proved much more than just a career; it blossomed into a lifelong "as close as family" friendship with Mr. and Mrs. LeNeve, which he forever cherished.

Apart from this career, to his family Darrel will always be "Mr. Fix it." He toiled many long hours at his home repairing plumbing, electrical circuitry, and household appliances. He, furthermore, enjoyed woodworking, spending time outdoors – even cutting wood for fun, and mentoring his family in the many skills he learned throughout his life.

Darrel was preceded in death by his father, George Andrew, and grandparents: "Pop George" George Edward and "Mom Elsie" Julia (Elsie) Siegismund, Victor Patrick Kern, Laura Lucille Bollweg, and William Henry Bollweg. He is survived by his mother, Margie; wife, Sandra; sons, Anthony (Holly) and Andrew Siegismund; daughter, April (Nathan) Rosbrugh; three grandchildren, Mali, Grant, and Addilyn Rosbrugh; three sisters, Cindy (Marlon) Seider, Tammy (Mike) Rapp, and Julie (Kurt) Davis; one brother, Craig (Debbie) Siegismund; Darrel also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Darrel was always a generous and kind-hearted man, who will be dearly missed by all that had the privilege of knowing him.
