The FUNERAL SERVICE for Mr. Seider will be held at Hill and Son Funeral Home, Appleton City, Missouri on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 10:30 a.m.

MINISTER will be Pastor Tony Reynolds.

INTERMENT will be in the Appleton City Cemetery, Appleton City, Missouri.

The family suggests that MEMORIAL contributions may be made to the
Appleton City Cemetery.

Dale Earnest Seider, 74, son of Paul John Henry and Carmen LaVere (Guffey) Seider was born on October 21, 1939 in Appleton City, Missouri. He departed this life on Friday, February 7, 2014 at Ellett Memorial Hospital in Appleton City, Missouri.

Dale graduated from Rich Hill High School in 1957. While attending Rich Hill High School he met Katherine "Kathy" Kline, who became his high school sweetheart. On May 31, 1959, Dale and Kathy were united in marriage at Zion Lutheran Church in Prairie City, Missouri, in the church were Dale had been baptized, and to this union two children were born, Marlon Dale and Krystal Kay.

Dale had many interests and hobbies throughout his life. In the 1970's he enjoyed pulling his tractors at tractor pulls. He enjoyed riding motorcycles with Kathy and hosting many get-togethers for their rally group at their farm. He also did a lot of woodworking.

Dale took immense pride in his farm. In his early years on the farm he raised hogs and dairy cattle. He loved to farm row crops with his father and son. He worked on the farm as long as he could and then watched and offered advice as others took care of the farming. In the later years, he kept the farm in pristine condition by mowing and weed-eating often.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Krystal Raybourn (2001); son-in-law, Harry E. Raybourn (2004); grandson, Payton Raybourn (2007); brother, Verlyn Seider and sister, Shirley Fischer.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy; son, Marlon Seider (Cindy); grandchildren: Heather Diehl (Andrew), Valerie Schiereck (Brett), Shelley Davis (Matt), Harrison Raybourn, and Marriah Seider; great-grandchildren: Nathanial, Zoie, Jagger, Tessa, Taylan, Trayse, Chaz and Reid; brother, Philip Seider (Hope); sister-in-law, Mildred Seider and brother-in-law, Delbert Fischer.

Dale took great pride in teaching all his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren how to sing "You Are My Sunshine", as it was taught to him by his grandfather. He never met a stranger and could talk to anyone.
