Craig DeWane Green, 53, passed away at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri on October 26, 2017. One of five sons, he was born November 9, 1963 to Carl and Carolyn Jean (Gregory) Green. Craig spent his formative years among the Appleton City and Kansas City areas, graduating from Park Hill High School in 1981. He then attended electrician school in Kansas City. Shortly after completing this program he began a career of more than 25 years with the Kansas City Power and Light Company. Craig remained incredibly proud of his job and was very good at it.
Throughout his life he loved being outside and enjoying nature. Craig dearly enjoyed fishing and had a quality boat he spent many hours on. Another one of his favorite activities was riding motorcycles. It is rumored that he graced the casinos in Kansas City with his presence, regularly offering donations to establishments for his entertainment. Craig followed the Royals and Chiefs, spending many afternoons and evenings at the ballparks with his friends.
He is survived by his parents, Carl and Carolyn Green; four brothers: Blane (Gail), Curtis, Brent, and Cody Green; six nieces and nephews; and many good friends. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
