Clarence R. Howard, son of Clarence Harrison and Maggie May (Sweeney) Howard, was born November 15, 1919 in Kansas City, Missouri. He passed away at Appleton City Manor in Appleton City, Missouri May 15, 2009 at 89 years of age.
Mr. Howard and his wife Wilma lived in the Kansas City and Appleton City areas most of their lives. Clarence worked for Kansas City Power and Light for 29 years until his retirement. He enjoyed many happy times volunteering with the Appleton City Optimist club; as well as sitting on the City Council. Furthermore, he was a member of the Lions Club in Harrisonville, Missouri.
Preceding Mr. Howard in death were his parents. Survivors include his wife Wilma of Appleton City; Missouri; two sons, Larry Howard of Harrisonville, Missouri, and Donald Howard of Oregon City, Oregon; two sisters, June Kelly of Independence, Missouri, and Joyce Rankin of Larned, Kansas; three grandchildren, Leanne Howard of Rogersville, Missouri, Brian Howard of Seattle, Washington, and Maggie Sullivan of Milwaukie, Oregon.
