Clara Louise (Boehler) Koch, age 95, of Montrose, Missouri died Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at the home of her son, David. She was born September 3, 1921 to Fred and Mary (Gieselman) Boehler in Urich, Missouri.
Clara was one of ten children and grew up in the Urich, Missouri area.
On April 10, 1944 Clara married her husband of 65 years, Matthew H. Koch, in Alamogordo, New Mexico. They were blessed with two children, Donna Pirhalla Talbott and David G. Koch.
Clara faithfully attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Montrose, Missouri.
During World War II, Clara worked at the Lake City Ordnance Plant. She was actively involved in the family farming operation with her husband, Matthew. Clara was also involved in the Community Extension Club, Altar Sodality, PTA and served as a leader in the Spruce 4-H program.
Clara was a very loving and giving wife and mother, who enjoyed her family. She took great pride in her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild.
Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew, her parents, seven siblings and granddaughter, Beth.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna Talbott of Montrose, Missouri; her son, Dave Koch of Montrose; Missouri, one brother, John Boehler of Albuquerque, New Mexico; one sister, Rosanna Greufe of Montrose, Missouri; four sisters-in-law, Mildred Boehler of Butler, Missouri, Teresa Brownsberger of Harrisonville, Missouri, Laverne Boehler of Montrose, Missouri, and Mary Boehler of Weaubleau, Missouri; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
