Charles "Mick" Motley was born August 2, 1958 in Clinton, Missouri. He was born to Charles Lee and Sharon Faye (Clark) Motley; one of five children. He passed away suddenly July 2, 2008 at Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri at age 49.
Mr. Motley grew up in Deepwater. He spent many happy hours out in the country. Nature and the outdoors were a deep love in his life.
Mick was united in marriage to Kathleen Cooper February 21, 1980 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Mick was a great father and later grandfather to all of his children and grandchildren. His children and grandchildren were the light of his life.
Mr. Motley enjoyed riding his motorcycle, where he spent many enjoyable hours. Mick spent many white knuckled fall afternoons passionately watching and following the Kansas City Chiefs from his home.
Preceding Mr. Motley in death were his mother Sharon Faye (Clark) Motley, and one daughter Rhonda Mahoney. Survivors include his wife Kathleen Motley of the home; his father Charles Motley of Tightwad, Missouri; daughter Michelle Daniels of Lawton, Oklahoma; daughter Catherine Carr of El Dorado Springs, Missouri; son Lloyd Cooper of Appleton City, Missouri; son Leonard Cooper of Clinton, Missouri; daughter Joyce Carr of Appleton City, Missouri; two brothers Mike Motley of Raytown, Missouri; Rick Motley of Johnstown, Missouri; two sisters Kay Johnson of Springfield, Missouri; Stella Bley of Montrose, Missouri; numerous grandchildren.
