Charles F. Hillerman, the son of Henry Bernard and Frances (Wittman) Hillerman was born on December 15, 1934 in Montrose, Missouri. He passed away on June 27, 2007 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri at the age of 72 years.

Charles grew up in the Montrose and Germantown areas and graduated from 8th grade at Germantown. He later attended high School and college at Rockhurst in Kansas City. On March 16, 1956 Charles was inducted into the Navy where he served honorably for two years. The last ship he served on was the U.S.S. Sutherland out of San Diego, California.

After his discharge he accepted a job with Peabody Coal Company as a core driller where he worked in the exploration department. This job allowed him to travel and work in many states, retiring in 1992 after 32 years of service. Following his retirement he bought a farm in the Taberville area where enjoyed raising cattle. He also enjoyed going to auctions and visiting with his friends at the sale barn.

Charles was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in El Dorado Springs, Missouri. He was a devoted sports fan, and enjoyed all sports. His family and friends were very special to him and he always loved any opportunity to visit with them.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Virgil Hillerman, and two sisters Loyola Gildehaus and Beatrice Hillerman. He is survived by four brothers, Clarence of Independence, Missouri, Paul of Montrose, Missouri and Bernard and Raymond, both of Washington, Missouri, two sisters, Rosina Ball and Esther Jasper, both of Washington, Missouri, many nephews, nieces and a host of friends.
