Charles Benjamin "C.B." Clark, 91, was born November 10, 1919 to Charles B., Sr. and Goldie C. (Spears) Clark on the family farm near Appleton City, Missouri. C.B. departed this life November 15, 2010 at Cox Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri.

Most of C.B.'s life was spent in Appleton City. He joined the Army Air Corps and was stationed in Panama where he served as a mess sergeant from 1942 to 1944. After his honorable discharge C.B. and Fay Allinson were united in marriage in Paola, Kansas on May 27, 1944. They owned and operated the A.C. Feed Store together for several years before selling to Don Blanchard. They bought the Bowman Drug Store and Fay ran the store while C.B. worked as a coal truck driver for Peabody Coal Company. Later the Clarks sold the drug store and C.B. went to work for his good friend, Wilbur Zink where he worked as parts manager for Zink Motor Company for 18 years. After his retirement C.B. and Fay moved to Springfield where they spent summers, and lived in Arizona during the winters until failing health prohibited trips to Arizona. C.B. and Fay were faithful members of Trinity United Methodist Church in Appleton City and later Schweitzer United Methodist Church in Springfield. C.B.'s hobbies were trout fishing and golf.

Preceding C.B. in death were his parents; an infant brother Ezra S. Clark; a sister Lauretta Clark VanDenberg; two brothers-in-law, Richard J. Padgham and Bobby G. Allinson and two sisters-in-law, Doris Eye and Mary Kopp. Survivors include his wife Fay Clark of the home; one brother, Clifford H. Clark and wife Betty of Butler, Missouri; one sister Rosalie C. Padgham of Springfield, Missouri; one brother-in-law Gerald Allinson of Carthage, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Royline Dixon and husband Keith of Appleton City, Missouri and Betty Tindall and husband Don of Wichita, Kansas; several nieces and nephews including Sherry C. Anderson of Bakersfield, California and Kathy Wood and husband Jerry of Butler, Missouri, Richard C. Padgham and wife Cissy of Media, Pennsylvania and Charles R. Padgham and wife Linda of Hot Springs, Arkansas; one great-niece Andrea Baxter; one great-nephew Michael Wood; two great-great-nieces, Jaylie and Elaina; and very good friends Dixie Zink, Susan Cooper and David Zink families.
