Carolyn Rose Lawson was born on February 16, 1944, in Bates County, Missouri in the home of her parents, Wilburn and Ruth (Baldwin) Lawson.  Carolyn was the granddaughter of James and Nancy (Eli) Lawson and Jake and Rose (Garvin) Baldwin.

Carolyn was united in marriage to Alfred Ray (Bud) Henzlik, August 30, 1964, at  Trinity United Methodist Church in Appleton City, Missouri, and to this union twin girls, Terrie Jean and Sherrie Ann were born in 1965 and Kerrie Louise in 1967.

They lived on the family farm south of town, their daughters being the 5th generation of Henzliks to reside there.

Carolyn enjoyed raising their daughters and helping Bud farm for 49 years.  After Bud's death in 2012, Carolyn stayed at the farm and enjoyed watching Larry, Brian and Marvin Seider work the land.  She enjoyed riding with the guys in the equipment and trailer trucks when they were on the farm.

Carolyn reconnected with classmates and enjoyed their company and get-togethers.

Her children and grandchildren were her enjoyment in life.  She made many memories taking them to Arkansas trout fishing.  After the birth of her great grandson Waylon, she enjoyed his visits and watching him grow and change month to month.

Preceding Carolyn in death was her husband "Bud", her parents, Wilburn and Ruth Lawson, brother James Wesley Lawson, granddaughter Amber Roselyn Siegismund and son-in- law Gary Lee Ashley.

Carolyn is survived by her three daughters: Terrie Ashley of Appleton City, Missouri, Sherrie (Mark) Siegismund of Rockville, Missouri, and Kerrie Hedger of Kingsville, Missouri; three grandchildren, Kristie Minks (Brennan) of Warrensburg, Missouri, Michael Ashley (Carrie McClain) of Appleton City, Missouri, Nolan Siegismund (Stevie) of Rockville, Missouri, and one great grandson, Waylon Ray Siegismund.

She gave her life to God when she was 15 years old knowing HE was always there to help her carry the load when she thought it was too much.

She enjoyed feeding her birds and always said, "If a cardinal should appear, a loved one is visiting to bring you cheer!"

The family suggests memorial donations to the Appleton City Cemetery Association.
