Carol Ann (Georgeulakos) Bailey, age 73, of Montrose, Missouri, passed away from natural causes on Friday, November 6, 2026, in Montrose.
She was born on October 2, 1953, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of James Nicholas and Helen Marie Georgeulakos. Carol Ann attended Northeast High School in Kansas City, graduating with the class of 1972. On May 16, 1981, she was united in marriage to Ora Dale Bailey, with whom she shared her life in Montrose.
Carol worked at Casey’s in Montrose for ten years, greeting neighbors and serving her local community. She was deeply committed to the safety and well-being of her town, remaining heavily involved with the Montrose Volunteer Fire Department for over 30 years. Her dedication to her neighbors and her decades of service leave a lasting legacy in the Montrose community.
Carol loved her family deeply, and her grandchildren were the absolute joy of her life. Known for her immense heart, she never met a stranger and was the kind of person who would truly give anyone in need the shirt off her back.
She is survived by her husband, Dale Bailey of the home; four children, Robert Bailey and Michiele of Warrensburg, Missouri, Rick Bailey and wife Liz of Montrose, Missouri, Jason Georgeulakos and wife Melissa of Agency, Missouri, and Tammi Reed and husband Brian of Warrensburg, Missouri; her brother, Stavros Georgeulakos; and eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, James and Helen Georgeulakos; one sister, Rita Water; and two brothers, Jimmy Georgeulakos and Nicholas Georgeulakos.
The family suggests donations made in Carol's memory be given to the Montrose Volunteer Fire Department. These may be left at the Hill & Son Funeral Home or at the Celebration of Life at the Montrose VFW Hall following the visitation at the funeral home.
