Boyd R. Thompson, son of Bufford and Gladys Marie (Parsley) Thompson, was born November 25, 1922 near Tiffin, Missouri. He passed away March 3, 2010 at his home in Sulphur Rock, Arkansas at 87 years of age.
Boyd and Edra Barker were married and later blessed with a daughter, Donna. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and spent part of his enlistment in Central Europe and Northern France. He was later employed for several years as a hide inspector for a local Butler, Missouri business.
Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Edra, and their daughter Donna Hoover, also a sister, Oleta Neale. Survivors include three grandchildren, Kathy Rinehart and husband Wayne of Sulphur Rock Arkansas, Tim Lee and wife Linda of Linden, Tennessee and Jerry Lee and wife Jennifer of Slidell, Louisiana; 14 great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; and Appleton City, Missouri area relatives: Jim Neale, John Neale, Bob Neale and Connie Neale.
