Billy J. Gregg, 69, son of Ralph M. and Louise S. (Fick) Gregg, was born October 21, 1943 in Clinton, Missouri. He departed this life November 16, 2012 at his home in Lee's Summit, Missouri.

Bill grew up and attended school in Appleton City, Missouri, graduating from Appleton City High School in 1961. He moved to Marshall, Missouri where he was employed by the International Shoe Factory about a year before taking a job as a truck driver for Fairmont Dairy in Kansas City, Missouri. During the 34 years he worked for them, the dairy changed ownership to Zarda and later Roberts Dairy before his retirement in 1997.

In the summer of 1964 Bill and Doris E. York were married at Pleasant Gap Christian Church and they were blessed with one son. Bill was a hard worker and good friend. He would do anything for anyone who needed help, day or night.

Bill had been an avid gun collector in his earlier years. He owned a piece of land south of Belton where he often invited friends and family to join together to shoot and just get out of the city to enjoy spending time together. After retirement he enjoyed traveling, especially with his brothers. Most recently he had gotten a Harley Davidson motorcycle and liked riding with friends. He also was a great grandpa. He loved spending time with his two grandkids and keeping them while their parents were away. Family was very important to him.

Preceding Bill in death was his father, Ralph Gregg, a niece, Rhonda L. (Gregg) Wolf and his former wife, Doris E. (York) Branson. Survivors include his mother, Louise Gregg of Appleton City, Missouri; his son, Heath Gregg and wife Debbie of Liberty, Missouri; his brothers, Ronald Gregg of Greenwood, Missouri and Donald Gregg and wife Barbara of Parker, Colorado; and his grandchildren, Hannah and Hayden Gregg of Liberty, Missouri.
