Augusta C. Varns, daughter of R. Franklin Davis and Caroline (Fischer) Davis, was born November 7, 1915 in Bates County, Missouri. She passed away July 9, 2005 at Research Hospital in Belton, Missouri at the age of 89 years, 8 months and 2 days.
Augusta married Harold H. Varns on May 20, 1933 and to this union one son, Harold Travis was born.
She worked as a secretary most of her working life.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, her son, two sisters, Frances Brown and Virginia Haile, one nephew Larry Brown and one great-great-nephew Nicholas Jurgensmeyer.
She is survived by her niece Joanne and husband William Ashley of Appleton City, Missouri, one great-niece Cathy and husband Carl Jurgensmeyer of Montrose, Missouri, one great-nephew Gary Ashley and wife Terrie of Appleton City, Missouri, two great-great-nieces, Lindsey Jurgensmeyer and Kristie Ashley, two great-great-nephews, Cole Jurgensmeyer and Michael Ashley, other relatives and friends.
