2:00 p.m.

Alfred "Bud" Ray Henzlik, Jr., 69, was born July 1, 1942 to Alfred Ray and Frankie Elanor Henzlik in Winnemucca, Nevada. He passed away January 21, 2012 at the Bates County Memorial Hospital in Butler, Missouri. Bud started farming with his father in 1951 on the family farm south of Appleton City, Missouri after moving from Ruby Valley, Nevada.

Bud was united in marriage to Carolyn Rose Lawson August 30, 1964 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Appleton City, Missouri and to this union twin girls, Terrie Jean and Sherrie Ann were born in 1965 and Kerrie Louise joined the family in 1967. Bud and Carolyn lived on the family farm, their daughters being the 5th generation of Henzliks to reside there. Bud enjoyed raising livestock and grain for 49 years, retiring in 2000. He was also a distributor for Mirafount livestock waters. In 2003 he turned his farm over to Larry, Brian and Marvin Seider and was very happy with the way they took care of the farm.

Bud loved the outdoors, especially teaching his daughters and grandchildren to hunt and fish. After retiring he enjoyed gardening, feeding his birds and raising chickens. Through the years he shared a special friendship with Craig Roberts and could not have farmed the last several years without his help.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one granddaughter, Amber Siegismund. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Henzlik of the home; three daughters, Terrie and husband Gary Ashley of Appleton City, Missouri, Sherrie and husband Mark Siegismund of Rockville, Missouri and Kerrie and husband Scott Hedger of Kingsville, Missouri; three grandchildren, Kristie Ashley, Michael Ashley and Nolan Siegismund.
