Alfred Immanuel Fischer was called to his heavenly home on Sunday, June 28, 2009 at Ellett Memorial Hospital in Appleton City, Missouri at the age of 100 years. He was born May 5, 1909 at his home near Rockville, Missouri. He was the sixth of seven children born to John and Maria (Bracher) Fischer. He was baptized May 16, 1909 at Zion Lutheran Church, Prairie City, Missouri and was confirmed on March 16, 1923 at Zion.
As a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church, Alfred held various congregational offices including: Elder, Trustee, Financial Secretary, Sunday School Superintendent and others. He attended elementary school at Rich Valley School and later at Zion Lutheran School. He attended high school at Rockville, Missouri.
On February 4, 1934, Alfred married Elsie A Rapp, and to this union two sons were born. Alfred was a lifelong farmer in Hudson Township. He was active in his community, serving on the local school board and also on South Hudson Road Board for many years.
He enjoyed fishing, sports, and playing cards. He enjoyed his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and enjoyed helping grandma with baby-sitting them.
Preceding Alfred in death were his wife Elsie, his son Hubert, and six brothers and sisters,
Surviving Alfred are his son, Earl and wife, Shirley, daughter-in-law Elizabeth, of Algonquin, Illinois; six grandchildren, Denise and Gary O'Farrell, Jeffrey and Sheila Fischer, Debbie and Rick Boin, Jerrell and Jill Fischer, Ann and Walt Casten, John and Natasha Fischer; ten great-grandchildren, Adam and Jamie O'Farrell, April and Darrick Brown, Kevin and Kristin O'Farrell, Krista Fischer, Brandon Fischer, Michael Boin, Megan Boin, Taylor and James Fischer, and Johannah Casten, and three great-great-grandchildren: Reagan O'Farrell, Hayden O'Farrell, and Shane Brown
