VISITATION/ROSARY will be at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Friday, May 11, 2018 with Visitation: 9:00- 10:00 a.m. followed by Rosary: 10:00 - 10:15 a.m.
INTERMENT will be St. Mary's Cemetery, Montrose, Missouri

Aladene Marie Lesmeister, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2018 at Westwood Living Center in Clinton, Missouri at 90 years of age. She was the youngest of seven children born to Mary (Bettels) and Frank Westhusing in Germantown, Missouri on May 6, 1928. She attended school at the Germantown Schoolhouse until the eighth grade. Following the completion of her education, she helped out on the family farm and went to work at Dunbrook manufacturing as a seamstress in Montrose until the shop closed. She then took employment at Unitog for several years. During this time Aladene met Virgil Eugene Lesmeister. They were married on June 12, 1950, and to this union eight children were born: Shirley, Virginia, Janet, Vernon, Carol, Ronnie, Doug, and Danny.
Aladene lived and labored proudly on her family farm for 68 years. Throughout the years she helped her husband work and providing many hours of devoted care for her children. Her family was the most important thing in the world to Aladene, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She dearly loved cooking and gardening, especially taking care of her flowers. Aladene was an incredibly talented seamstress, who enjoyed making quilts for everyone in her family. Later in life she served as a senior caretaker, cooking, cleaning, and visiting with many individuals through the years. Apart from this, Aladene was a faithful and devoted member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Montrose, Missouri all of her life. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those that had the privilege of knowing her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil; a son, Danny Lesmeister; her parents: Mary (Bettels) and Frank Westhusing; all of her siblings; a grandson, Larry Walden; and one great-granddaughter, Gabriella.
Aladene is survived by her children: Shirley (Ron) Kneip, Virginia (Charlie) Walden, Janet Lesmeister, Vernon Lesmeister (Rhonda Hazel), Carol (Ross) Morris, Ronnie Lesmeister, Doug Lesmeister; numerous grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends that love her dearly.
